uPVC Case Study: P. Travill
Situated in the picturesque setting of Edinburgh Hermiston, a remarkable sandstone residence sought a window and French door upgrade for heightened efficiency and reduced drafts.
The homeowner previously dealt with outdated timber windows and doors, known for their inefficiency, and pronounced draughtiness. PT Glazing stepped in to install a total of 12 products, encompassing our Sash Windows, Casement Windows, and two sets of timeless French Doors.
Sash Windows
The customer opted for the installation of double-glazed uPVC Sash Windows to preserve the distinctive characteristics of the property. These sash windows were equipped with astragal bars and run-through sash horns, meticulously crafted to emulate the aesthetic of a traditional timber window.
Adding a touch of elegance, the customer selected chrome hardware, featuring a cam lock, pole eyes, and sash lifts. The chosen colour was a timeless, fully smooth white, harmoniously blending the interior and exterior, enhancing the overall appeal of the windows.
Casement Windows
The project encompassed the replacement of a Casement Window, incorporating astragal bars and a sculptured finish to seamlessly align with the aesthetics of the existing timber windows. Once more, the preferred colour choice was a sleek and timeless smooth white.
French Doors
Lastly we installed two sets of classic French Doors, complete with astragal bars and an elegant half-glass, half-panel configuration. The chosen colour for this installation was a sophisticated two-tone Rosewood/White scheme, complemented by matching side screens. The chrome hardware, including handles and letterplate, added a touch of refinement.
In terms of security, our standard features include a multi-point locking system and a 3-star British standard locking barrel. This robust security setup comes with an impressive £2000 guarantee against intrusion, ensuring peace of mind for our valued customers.
