uPVC Case Study: Window & Door Upgrade in Minishant, South Ayrshire

Client: A. Demiral

Project Overview

This project involved a full window and door replacement for a beautiful detached property in Minishant, South Ayrshire. The homeowner approached us looking to upgrade their old, draughty windows and doors with modern, energy-efficient alternatives that would enhance both the appearance and performance of their home.

Client's Requirements

The client was keen to improve thermal efficiency, reduce heat loss, and refresh the overall aesthetic of the property. Specifically, they required:
      • 9 new uPVC casement windows in a stylish grey exterior and white interior finish
      • 3 new doors, including:
            • French door set
            • New front door
            • Store room door

For the windows and French doors, our team recommended the VEKA Sculptured System, known for its superior energy efficiency, excellent u-values, and exceptional build quality. This system not only delivers reliable performance in terms of insulation and weather resistance but also offers a sleek, timeless look.

Front Door – A Standout Feature

For the front entrance, the client wanted something unique—a true statement piece that would add character to the home. Our top recommendation was the Palladio Door Collection, widely regarded as the most premium composite door range on the market.

Manufactured in Ireland, Palladio doors are engineered from fibreglass-reinforced monocoque construction, making them incredibly strong and secure. They come with a Renolit foil finish for added durability and visual appeal, and a double rebate system that ensures excellent weatherproofing. These doors combine aesthetic elegance with high performance, offering a long-lasting and energy-efficient solution.

Showroom Experience & Final Selection

The customer visited our showroom, where they could see and feel the quality of our products first-hand. After reviewing options, they selected the stunning “Monet” Palladio door in Anthracite Grey (external) and White (internal). The door was finished with white uPVC internal trim, TG179 glass, and a curved brushed steel handle and matching letterbox—a truly elegant and contemporary choice.

Installation & Outcome

The installation process went smoothly from start to finish. Our expert team ensured every window and door was fitted with precision and care, maintaining the highest standards throughout. The new fittings significantly enhanced the property’s insulation and curb appeal.

The customer was absolutely delighted with the transformation—particularly the statement Palladio front door, which became an instant favourite. The sleek design, thermal performance, and quality craftsmanship exceeded their expectations.
