Project Overview
PT Glazing was selected to manufacture, supply, and install a complete aluminium glazing package for a residential property in South Lanarkshire. The homeowner was looking to replace outdated, draughty windows and doors with a premium aluminium solution that would enhance energy efficiency, security, and overall aesthetics.
All products were manufactured in-house at our specialist manufacturing facility in Newmilns, East Ayrshire, before being professionally installed by our experienced fitting teams.
Project Scope
This full house installation included the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of a complete aluminium glazing package across the property. The brief was to deliver a modern, high-performance system that would provide long-term durability and significantly improved thermal performance.

- X1 Bloomsbury designer door with side screen
- X1 Ashwell designer door
- X1 aluminium entrance door with integral blinds
- X13 aluminium windows
- X3 lift and slide patio doors with 35mm slim sightlines
Every product was finished in textured grey externally with a premium frost white internal finish, creating a contemporary exterior with a clean, bright interior aesthetic.
Manufacturing and Installation
All aluminium windows and doors for this project were manufactured at PT Glazing’s Newmilns production facility, ensuring complete quality control from fabrication through to installation.
Our in-house manufacturing allowed us to:

Our installation team completed the full removal of existing glazing and installed all new aluminium systems with minimal disruption to the homeowner.
Aluminium Windows
The property was fitted with thirteen aluminium windows using our premium 600 series system. These featured a sloped bead and ovolo frame design, combining traditional styling with modern aluminium performance.

Designer Doors

- Includes the option of multi-point slam locking or a 10-point locking system
- Provides outstanding durability and security

Entrance Door with Integral Blinds
The main aluminium entrance door was manufactured using our Alitherm 400 flush system and incorporated integral blinds within the glazing unit. This provided privacy and light control while maintaining a clean, uncluttered appearance.
Lift and Slide Patio Doors
Three lift and slide patio doors were installed to the rear of the property, featuring ultra-slim 35mm sightlines designed to maximise glass area and natural light.
